The challenge

Launching the REDMI Note 17 Series into Bangladesh’s highly competitive smartphone category meant that visibility alone would not be enough. The brief called for mass awareness, compelling product differentiation, product consideration and active demand capture, with a sustained presence beyond launch week. Purchase consideration was the strategic destination; direct sales attribution was not available.

The strategy: a connected launch journey

My media approach connected four phases: Pre-Heat → Launch Blast → Post-Launch → Sustain. September prioritized curiosity and launch-scale visibility, while the broader architecture progressively shifted attention towards product education, re-engagement and search intent.

Guiding principle: Every platform needed a specific job—not simply a share of budget.

The 7–11–4 planning framework

7–8

Meaningful exposures

Planned repetition designed to reinforce product memory with evolving messages, rather than the same ad repeated unchanged.

11

Touchpoints

Connected opportunities across video, product proof, search, display, retargeting and community.

4

Media ecosystems

Social, Video, Search/Display and Contextual/Community environments working together.

The 7–11–4 figures describe the planning framework, not independently measured exposure or touchpoint totals.

Audience architecture

Core audience: Men and women aged 18–40, including smartphone enthusiasts, young digital audiences, early adopters, Android users, existing brand engagers and high-intent device researchers.

Audience progression included Prospecting → Warm Audiences → Lookalikes → Affinity → In-Market → Custom Intent. Nationwide coverage remained central, with greater strategic priority on Dhaka and Chattogram alongside divisional and high-potential market planning.

One journey, distinct platform roles

Meta · Scale & re-engagement

Mass launch exposure, then engagement and lookalike audiences to progress into video-led consideration.

TikTok · Youth discovery

Native short-form product discovery among young consumers and ongoing audience community development.

YouTube · Product consideration

Battery, durability and premium experience storytelling using affinity, in-market and custom-intent signals.

Google Search · Intent capture

Brand, generic and competitor keyword clusters for active category research and product discovery.

GDN · Contextual visibility

Relevant news, technology and contextual inventory to reinforce consideration outside social feeds.

Creative strategy: “Live mAhximum”

Creatives translated product specifications into consumer benefits, anchored in the campaign territories 10,000mAh Battery, Power & Freedom, Durability and Premium Experience.

Campaign cover artwork is shown above; additional platform creatives and approved reporting visuals can be added later.

Optimization in motion

The campaign was managed as a dynamic media system, using geography-weighted investment, audience progression, delivery-led budget reallocation, creative rotation based on attention signals and expanded custom intent/search coverage. This evolved the focus from maximum visibility toward more qualified attention.

Platform figures are provided for this case study and have not been independently audited. Reach is platform-specific and not added across channels because audiences may overlap. Video-view definitions also differ by platform.

Additional reported Meta activity included 80K page visits.

Search demand & product discovery

Google Trends reportedly showed multiple September peaks for REDMI Note 17, including a normalized search-interest score of 100. Reported related-search changes included “Xiaomi REDMI Note 17” (+80%), “Xiaomi” (+60%) and “Xiaomi 17” (+60%), with “redmi note 17 pro” the leading related query.

These observations are consistent with active product discovery during the launch period; they do not establish that the media campaign caused the increases. Search Impression Share reportedly remained below 10%, suggesting room to compete for more category-intent queries in future waves.

Google Trends figures, query methodology and impression-share data were supplied with the case study and should be checked against source exports before external promotion.

Business outcome & measurement limits

The reported outputs demonstrate substantial visibility, video consumption, click activity and community growth across the digital journey: Mass Visibility → Video Consideration → Search Behaviour → Qualified Traffic → Community Growth. The campaign established multiple opportunities to move people closer to purchase and grow Xiaomi’s owned audiences.

No incremental sales or directly attributed purchases are claimed: client-side sales attribution was unavailable. Similarly, reported clicks do not independently establish purchase intent or traffic quality.

The key learning

Orchestration mattered more than simply adding reach.

Reach created memory. Video created understanding. Search captured intent. Retargeting maintained consideration. Community campaigns built longer-term brand value.

A successful product launch is not a single media burst. It is a connected system of exposures designed to move consumers from seeing the product towards actively considering it.
